Privacy Policy

What we collect

Journey to AI is a personal site run by Samip Shah. We only collect data we need to operate the utilities, and we keep it to a minimum.

  • Your Google account email and display name - captured when you sign in via "Continue with Google" so we can recognise you on return visits and gate the utilities behind sign-in. We never see or store your Google password.
  • Utility access log - the email + utility slug + timestamp + access count, written to our database when you open a utility. This helps us see which tools are useful and which aren't.
  • Server logs - your IP address and browser user-agent are recorded transiently in our hosting provider's logs (Hostinger), as is standard for any web server.

What we do NOT collect

  • We do not collect, store, or transmit your LLM provider API key. The Context Generator stores your key in localStorage on your device. Calls to OpenAI / Anthropic / Google AI Studio / Mistral go directly from your browser to the provider - our server is never on the key's path.
  • We do not use third-party analytics, advertising trackers, or social pixels.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone. There is no data buyer.

Cookies

We set one cookie: a session cookie issued by PHP after you sign in. It is HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax, and lasts only for the browser session.

Your rights

You can ask for your access-log entry to be deleted at any time. Email samip.tech.shah@gmail.com from the Google address you signed in with and we will remove it within 7 days.

Third-party services

  • Google Identity Services - verifies your sign-in. Subject to Google's own privacy policy.
  • Your chosen LLM provider (Context Generator) - when you use the Context Generator, your prompt is sent directly from your browser to the provider you selected (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google AI Studio, or Mistral) using the API key you provided. Their privacy policy applies to that traffic.
  • Hostinger - hosts the site and stores the access-log database.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and, when relevant, surface a notice on the home page.
